We build and run Shopify stores for brands that sell seriously. Small enough that your work is visible on the day it goes out, and serious enough to pay properly for it.
What it is actually like.
No timesheets and no utilisation target. Work is scoped as tickets and blocks, so what gets measured is whether the thing was done properly, not how many hours it filled.
Open positions
You work on live stores from the first week: theme architecture, Liquid, templates, cart and checkout, and the performance work most builds skip. A mix of fixed build blocks and ongoing client work, not one long project.
Two openings, one junior and one intermediate. We care more about how you debug something you have never seen before than how many years you have behind you. No page builders.
You own a book of stores. You turn what a client wants into work a developer can pick up without a second conversation, and you tell them when the thing they asked for is not the thing they need.
Enough technical fluency to hold your ground with an engineer, and the temperament to be the person who says no and explains why.
You keep builds moving: scope, sequence, dependencies, and the client conversations that stop a fixed block from slipping.
Builds only. Account managers own the client relationships and the ongoing support work, so this is not a portfolio role, and it is worth knowing that before you apply.
Open to candidates outside South Africa, with a preference for local.
Apply
One person reads every application, and you will hear back either way inside two weeks. No take-home task before we have spoken to you.
