If a task fits standard ticket criteria, there's no back-and-forth on scope. You submit the task, we confirm it's a standard ticket, you approve, we deliver.

Lane 2: Complex Features

Complex features are jobs that require us to assess your specific store setup before we can scope them accurately. They get a written quote before any work begins. Once approved, they're treated like a small project — clear scope, fixed rate, formal change request process if anything changes.

A task moves into complex territory when it involves custom development, app integrations, or volume that puts it outside a standard ticket ceiling.

How it works:

How do I know if my task is a standard ticket or a complex feature?

In most cases it's clear from the description — the examples table above covers most common scenarios. If you're not sure, tell us what you need in the contact form and we'll confirm the lane before any work starts. There's no penalty for not knowing upfront.

What's the turnaround time?

Standard tickets are completed within 2–3 business days of approval. Complex features are scheduled based on scope — we'll confirm the timeline in the written quote before you approve.

What if my task turns out to be more complex than a standard ticket?

We'll tell you before we start. If a task looks like a standard ticket but turns out to require more work once we're into it, we pause, explain what we found, and get your approval before continuing. No surprise invoices.

Do you work with CRO or marketing agencies?

Yes — and we're set up for it. If your agency provides a feature brief or specification, we build to it. We don't interpret or second-guess the brief — we implement it properly, test it, and hand it over. If something in the brief isn't technically feasible on Shopify, we'll flag it before starting.

Is there a minimum engagement?

No minimum engagement. That said, because we charge at fixed rates, very small single-task requests aren't always the most cost-effective use of a ticket. If you have a few things that need doing, it usually makes sense to batch them — we can advise on whether a task qualifies for a single ticket or should be scoped separately.

Can you work on a store that WebMaze didn't build?

Yes. Most of our development clients come to us with stores built by other agencies or freelancers. We'll review the store before scoping complex features to make sure we understand what we're working with.
